Welcome Back!!! I hope you found time between school terms to rest and recharge because it is time to buckle in and get ready to go again!  I am looking for to this year.  Yes, there are going to be challenges, but I feel that we are stronger and more prepared having gone through the growing pains of the 2020/2021 school year.  It is just like your third year teaching.  During your first year, you are getting your bearings.  In the second year, you overcorrect. Then, the third year is THE BEST!!!

So, now that you have found your balance, let’s start adding to that toolkit.  GCTM is off to a great start. We hosted our first Roundtable for the 2021-2022 school year with guest speaker, Dr. Lya Snell with the GA DOE Mathematics Program Manager.  We appreciate Dr. Snell and her team for their leadership in the standards revision process.  In October, GCTM will host the annual Georgia Mathematics Conference.  While the conference will be virtual, we have a new platform, more sessions for synchronous and asynchronous learning, breakout rooms, and gamification.  The Conference Board has worked tirelessly to make this conference more interactive and convenient at the same time. If you are interested in attending, check out our website for more information.

As the school year unfolds, we are looking forward to supporting you and growing with you. Remember the “Third Year.”  You’ve got this!
